Fiddler Crab Festival
The Fiddler Crab Festival is held annually on President’s Day weekend. The dates for 2019 are February 15-17. This year, we are celebrating our 11th Annual Fiddler Crab Festival!!! To celebrate, we are raffling a cruise to Cozumel! Stay tuned for more information on the raffle!

Activities include food, arts and crafts, entertainment, cook-offs, fiddler crab races, a parade, boat and car show, and more!

Gulf Coast CPR Kayak Fishing Tournament
The Gulf Coast Kayak Club CPR (Catch, Photo, Release) Fishing Tournament will be held in Taylor County with over $2,500.00 in cash prizes! Sponsored by the TDC, Dead Man’s Float and Big Bend Outfitters this tournament is a favorite among anglers. Entry fee is $55.00 and includes a quick dry, sun protection long sleeve fishing shirt. Captain’s meeting will be held November 16th where you will get your token and information on the Mystery Fish. You can also opt to purchase a ticket for a ribeye steak and shrimp dinner to be served at the Captain’s Meeting. All anglers at the Captain’s meeting will receive Captain’s Bags. Downtown Christmas & Santa's Little Helpers Parade
Parade begins at 6:00 pm

Florida State Bluegrass Festival
First Weekend in APRIL Annually
The Florida State Bluegrass started in Taylor County in 2000 and has thrived ever since. This very popular three day event promises a toe-tapping good time. With some of the best bluegrass performers in the country entertaining the audience each year, this event offers free bluegrass music workshops (with ticket purchase) for adults and children as well as great food, arts and crafts and a Chili Cook-off. In addition to three days packed with amazing performers, this event is also home to the Florida State Bluegrass Music Championship Finals Competition. Finalist performers travel here from all over Florida to compete for the state title. See some of the best of the best during this weekend. Camping available and tickets are only $15.00 per person. Southern Pines Blues & BBQ Festival)
featuring one of the BEST OPEN BBQ
COMPETITIONS in the Southeast! There are The OPEN (Open to all competitors—professional & amateur), People’s Choice and the Sauce of Honors Sauce Contest!
Over $15,000 in cash prizes will be awarded this weekend to those in all the competitions. Visitors can sample BBQ by being a judge in the People’s Choice portion of the event where you can try over 35 different kinds of pulled pork for only $5.00.
We took the southern rock and county music that everyone loves and the falling off the bone BBQ that brings people back every year and made an event you don’t want to miss!
Southern Rock and Country music plays throughout the entire weekend featuring some of the most renowned artists. Fourth Saturday in October Annually. The Florida Forest Festival is a celebration of the forestry industry in Taylor County. With the World's Largest FREE Fish Fry, Lumberjack - shows and competitions, arts and crafts, antique car show, Heritage Village, children's games & story telling, this event promises to have something for everyone in the family and the best part is the event is free.
